"Khepri's Sun Talismanic Ring" Collection

Khepri one of the most notable Egyptian gods, was hailed for his ceaseless pushing of the sun across the sky each day. Characterized as a god with a human shape bearing the head of the revered scarab beetle, Khepri is often associated with the themes of "new beginnings" and "rebirth".

This ring has been designed with metallic scarab-inspired accents, embracing gems with the brilliance of Khepri's sun. The gems were chosen for their significance in ancient Egyptian culture, each having specific healing and talismanic powers, and found adorning some of the most exquisite pieces of historic jewelry and antiquities.

Our "intentional jewelry" is invested with a great deal of care in the craftsmanship, and made to embrace meaningful celebrations of daily life, making the pieces excellent gifts for special people.

  • unisex ring is available in 6 different gemstone settings

  • highly detailed hand-painted oxidized hammered silver and cabochon gemstone textures

  • realistic glow and natural shine

Residential Rental Cottage Available on Our Inis Caiseal Sim

It doesn't happen often, but from time to time one of our residential rental cottages becomes available again.

We have one that has just opened up on our Inis sim. It's got an incredible view, nestled on a cove peering across the open ocean, with unfettered channels to sail almost entirely around all 5 of our sims.

Our "Niamh agus Oisin" cottage is now available for L$2,750 per week, unfurnished, with 700 prims free for your personal use to decorate and landscape.

Click here to head over to the rental box so you can take a peek. The cottages tend to disappear very quickly, so if you think you might be interested slip down and take a peek before it's gone. Please don't hesitate to IM Alchemy Cyannis if you have any questions at all.

Want to Be One of the First to Know When Cottages Open Up?

Drop by one of our Residential Rental Centres where you'll find a sign that let's you join our Notifier list.

In January we opened the doors to our new residential rentals program, inviting guests to rent cottages on our 3 Bed & Breakfast sims. We currently host 5 cottages on Inis Caiseal, 3 on Ceangal and 3 on Saerlaith.

In addition we offer 2 short-term vacation stay skyboxes for daily rentals on our Inis Caiseal sim.

These filled up within hours of opening the program, but from time to time one becomes available again, and will show in our "Rentals Finder" below. (If it's empty, that means everything is currently rented.)

To rent one of our available properties, click the link below it's picture. You will be ported to the rental box. (At the time of this posting, the HippoTech Rentals Finder page was still in beta mode, and we're finding that the links to the map locations are broken.)

You can also visit one of our two rental centres to see available properties based on sim location. You can rent a property from our rental vendors there, or by paying the rental mailbox in front of the available property.
We've updated our rental centre systems to correct problems that have been making it difficult for people to find and rent available properties. We apologize for the inconvenience, and think you'll find the new property listings vendors much easier to use.

Want to be notified when a cottage becomes available for rent? There's a sign in each of the rental centres that you can click to subscribe to our rental property alerts.

We hope that you'll find a homestead of your own within our rustic little community. Please don't hesistate to let us know if you need assistance, have questions, or wish to bend our ear about something that you think will make our little community even more welcoming and resilient!

We're looking forward to having you as our neighbour!

"May your troubles be less
And your blessing be more
And nothing but happiness
Come through your door."

The Sanctuary of Lost Books, a solo project by Immortalis Cyannis

Not a lot of people know that when I was 13 I took a class in school named "Commercial Art and Graphic Design." It was one of the first classes that I -wanted- to take. My end project for the semester was a folding paper book based on a box template, that, when you unwrapped it and spread out, became a page inspired by the Book of Kells. I was taught how to recreate my own anthropomorphic animals that twisted around the capital letters. I was careful to keep scale and learnt calligraphy with a nib pen. I did all of the shading with professional art markers. It was the first time, as a native Dubliner, that I ever gave a fuck about the Book of Kells.

Well from there I remembered a field trip to Glendalough (pronounced "glen-da-lock") in County Wicklow. I remembered the monks there from the 12th century that used to run into the tower there to escape the Vikings and if they were still around, how would that order remain profitable in modern society. Well...every lad of 13 knows that chocolate is a strong cottage industry. So in my head, these monks would sit there, medieval style, creating works of art to wrap bars of chocolate with.

That little boy, fascinated by books, is still inside of me. (and I still love chocolate)

I tell this story to illustrate there are fascinations, passions, niggling obsessions that are inside of us all and date back to our early years. They represent the things we REALLY love, and cannot get enough of. For me, it is books and adventure. Over time other things have attached to me: a sense of magic, and story. Through my youth I wanted to be a tomb raider like Indiana Jones, or an explorer like the characters in the PC games Zork, Myst or Riven. So even prior to the computer games of Myst and Riven was Xanth, a series of books written by Piers Anthony that appealed to every boy at that time. In those books there was a magician that one could seek out when you were in dire need. Before you were allowed to see him, you had to be tested by trials to weed out those that were not serious. He was a recluse and didn't enjoy being bothered you see. If you failed the trials you died, but winning awarded you an audience.

My point being that I know and have experienced the power of books as a vehicle for adventure. It is this search for adventure I have always held close and motivates me today when I build.

Over the years, one lesson I have learnt is that what you create is not necessarily created out of nothing. Rather it is discovered, because all of these wonderful creatures and places really exist. You just have to find them again.

I welcome you to come along with me, on a journey of exploration.

It is the very beginning, and there is much to be done!

Launching Lanterns on Alchemy Immortalis (with a little help from our friends)

Someone recently approached us about having an area where they could donate to show support for the various things we do on the SIMS. In the past, I have always said no, we do not accept donations. In my head, donations were charity and we don't feel we need charity. We've always preferred earning money that supports the sims by creating items for retail, which in turn supports our various projects and tiers.

Recently I (Immortalis) had a chat with several people that changed my perception.

Over the years, the sims have been places people have found their significant other. They may have met there, proposed, or even married on the sims. There are people that come to the sims simply to sit in the quiet and be inspired. Perhaps there are experiences that have changed your life in some way and you want to give back. Through talking with some of our fans in greater detail about these experiences we have come to understand these requests and have built an area that we hope is a beautiful way to donate by using our peace lantern launching set up that we had out at the 2012 Home and Garden Expo. The lanterns, we feel are appropriate because they are traditionally used as ways to celebrate across the world, and if you are donating, we hope it is because there has been something we have built that is beautiful and enriched your life in some way.

You can take the journey through our caverns, starting at the entrance, or go directly to the lantern launch platform.
(Don't forget to go to midnight.  The lighting is magical.)

All "Blue Willow" Themed Items Now Available in Our Shop and On Marketplace

While the Home and Garden Expo benefiting the American Cancer Society through SL Relay for Life is now closed, you can now find our "Blue Willow" themed items and our "Stone Forest Build Kit" both in our main shop, and on the Marketplace web site. Here are the items you might have missed, and where you can find them:

Floating Chinese Peace Lanterns

The peace lanterns are once again available to celebrate your life and the lives of people you love through weddings, memorials, birthdays, and other meaningful milestones! Intentions are powerful things, and infusing your launch with thoughtful intentions creates a visually stirring and powerful experience.

The lanterns can be seen and purchased in our main shop, and also on the Marketplace web site.

Click here to read our original posting with more information and additional pictures.

Emperor's Throne - Blue Willow Edition

The inspiration behind the Emperor's Throne was directly taken from the love story surrounding Blue Willow china. (You can read more about the Blue Willow story here). The young lovers are represented by the two birds. The fresh, coordinated textiles have a light feel, grounded and balanced by the gentle curves of a black incised wooden frame. It's regal, well made, and priced attractively.

The chair can be seen and purchased in our main shop, and also on the Marketplace web site.

Click here to read our original posting with more information and additional pictures.

"Blue Willow" Throw Pillows and Plush Rugs

All of the accessories were designed to showcase, in more detail the events of the Blue Willow love story. Rugs and pillows may help ground a room or frame your decor, but they normally are not star players. These accessories tell a story. Every piece is intentional...and pays respect to the tradition of being intentional in Chinese art, whether it's a garden, music, architecture or poetry. Even the smallest aspect plays a role, so don't be deceived by these small accessories. They can bring much cohesion to your design vision!

The pillows can be seen and purchased in our main shop, and also on the Marketplace web site.

Click here to read our original posting with more information and additional pictures.

The rugs can be seen and purchased in our main shop, and also on the Marketplace web site.

Click here to read our original posting with more information and additional pictures.

Blue Willow Pendant Lantern

As much as one might enjoy launching the peace lanterns, sometimes we just want to curl up at home. This is a lovely way to always remember the milestones you have celebrated, by softly lighting your personal spaces, with the same warm light, and softly crackling fire.

The pendant lamp can be seen and purchased in our main shop.

It's also available on the Marketplace web site in both it's original COPY format, and also in a TRANSFER version.

Click here to read our original posting with more information and additional pictures.

The Stone Forest Building Kit

This is the kit that I had never intended to be released. I built a mountain only to frame the experience of launching and lighting the peace lanterns. It was to only be a temporary build that represented a soul journey from the entrance to the top of the mountain. But it quickly became apparent that I needed to package it due to requests. So I did so quickly during the Expo. -Immortalis

Each of the 14 pieces of this building kit was designed to recreate the dramatic large stone formations of the world's original 1st of 7 wonders of the world, China's Stone Forest. The stone forest itself has a love story surrounding it that parallels in many ways, the love story of the Blue Willow. As the expo, is now over, the AI store has a display of another way this adaptable building kit may be used. This time, the build has a more magical flavour. Paths inside the cavern system lead to an ocean view landing where the lanterns may be launched again or an area connected to the side project "The Sanctuary of Lost Books."

The building kit can can be seen and purchased in our main shop, and also on the Marketplace web site where it's available at a special promo price of only L$99!

PLEASE NOTE: The pagodas shown in the picture above from our Home and Garden Expo build are NOT included in this kit. They are the work of talented RL architect and SL designer Ryusho Ort.
